Amber Time – The Time of Silver and Amber
The aim of the exhibition organised by the Gallery of Art in Legnica is to present and promote, in Poland and abroad, contemporary jewellery art with special emphasis on Polish amber and silver, which is found only in Lower Silesia.

The exhibition is the essence of contemporary jewellery art of the highest standard; it uses and shows all the current trends and directions – from classic geometrical forms, through jewellery abstractions, to works which belong to conceptual, ethnic, naturalist or pop art, or even use jewellery as a communication tool in a critical debate. The exhibition includes more than 100 exhibits made by celebrated Polish designers selected from among those who specialise in amber.

It began its tour of European cities with a presentation in Wuppertal (Germany) at the Caritas culture centre from November 27 to December 14, 2008.
