Rome has its Spanish Stairs, Warsaw has its Nowy Świat Street and the annual Warsaw Fashion Street. In 2008, the fashion world came to Poland’s capital in July. For an entire Sunday, Varsovians could see the latest fashion trends as set both by young designers and by their older, more experienced colleagues. It was a world-class show and the www.pb.info.pl web portal had the media auspices over this celebration of fashion.

Even the world’s largest fashion shows rarely go without jewellery. Gems have become part of the canon of good taste and ladies wear jewellery both on the catwalk and in the street. That’s just the way it was in Nowy Świat Street at Warsaw Fashion Street 2008. The range of what we could see there was in fact the latest trends in jewellery fashion which showed the evolution of the idea of jewellery in fashion, as well as setting certain standards, which cannot be crossed today.
