The 2007 Amber Ball
As tradition would have it, the annual Amber Ball, organised by the International Amber Association, took place at the end of carnival. On February 17, 2007, the lovers of the Gold of the Baltic gathered at Krzywy Domek (the Crooked House) in Sopot. It is an established custom for the Ball to be a charity occasion, complete with an auction. Mayor of Gdańsk Paweł Adamowicz and his wife were the Ball’s guests of honour.
